The plant is photographed in a terracotta pot.

About the plant:
Ficus Lyrata ( fiddle leaf fig in English ) is a tree-like plant characterized by its large green leaves of a violin (lyre) shape with a wavy edge. In room conditions, these leaves with pronounced veining can grow up to 30 cm in size. It comes from tropical Africa. Ficuses are among the unpretentious, fast-growing indoor plants that contain latex - a white liquid. If the plant is not limited by a low ceiling, it can grow to a height of several meters. Ficuses can be shaped and thickened by pruning.

Ficus Lyrata its exotic appearance stands out in large spaces. It needs support to grow. The lower leaves may drop over time, which is normal for older specimens of this variety.

We wrote more about ficuses in our article .

svetlo Light

The plant needs enough diffused light for healthy growth. Avoid direct sunlight, which could burn the leaves. The ideal site is the north and east side near the windows or the west side with fading weak sunlight.

zalivka Watering

Water regularly, but always wait for at least the top layer of the substrate to dry. Ficuses do not tolerate overflowing and standing in water. During the winter, water less and beware of cold water, rather use water at room temperature.

vzduch Humidity

The plant likes dew on the leaves, which should be frequently wiped from dust with a damp cloth.

mnozeni Propagation

The easiest way to propagate the plant is by stem cuttings - preferably using a cut top part of the plant with 2-3 leaves, which you can root in water or soil.

problemy Common problems

  • Overwatering and overwatering, root rot: Most often, you can recognize a ficus that has been overwatered by the fact that its leaves begin to fall, which can also turn yellow or develop brown spots.
  • Draft: Ficuses are sensitive to temperature changes. You can tell that the plant has suffered a temperature shock by the leaves, which turn brown and fall off.
  • Change of environment: Ficuses do not tolerate changes (e.g. habitat) well. Therefore, always think carefully about where and when you will move the ficus. The plant reacts to new, unsuitable conditions by shedding leaves.
  • Burns of the leaves: Beware of direct light, which can burn the leaves of the plant, causing brown spots to form on them.

Doručení, zabalení super, rostlina vypadá fakt zdravě, ale schytal jsem asi jednu z těch ošklivějších, škoda😕

Perfektní

Rostlina dorazila za pár dní. Precizně zabalená a bez jediné chyby. Dokonce i když u kurýra ležela v autě, všechna zemina zůstala v květináči, jak to bylo důmyslně zabalené. 💚🍀

Delivery to the address by courier

We ship live plant orders Monday through Thursday. If we cannot prepare your shipment within these days, we will send it again the following week. We want to avoid plants being left in the depot for long periods of time, which is especially important during the winter months when cold conditions can harm them.

Individual shipping prices:

1. DPD

A DPD courier will contact you the day before delivery with the exact delivery date. If you would like to redirect the shipment to the collection point, you can make arrangements directly with the carrier. In the winter months, however, we strongly do not recommend redirecting to the delivery boxes, as low temperatures can damage the plants. In this case, we cannot be held responsible for the condition of the plants and complaints will not be accepted.

The price of delivery of plants and accessories throughout the Czech Republic is 149 CZK, to Slovakia 8 €.

2. Post office

You can have the selected goods delivered to the delivery point of Zásilkovna in the Czech Republic for CZK 89 or in Slovakia for €5. All you have to do is select the delivery option "Delivery" when ordering. After completing your order, you will be able to use the map to select a specific delivery location.

Keep in mind that the Post Office has restrictions on package dimensions and weight. If you don't see the Post Office option, you probably have bulky products in your cart and you need to choose another carrier. In the winter months, we strongly do not recommend choosing delivery to Z-Boxes due to the risk of the plants dying in the cold. In this case, we are not responsible for the condition of the plants and the claim will not be accepted.

3. Personal collection

You can pick up your order for free in person at the address Křižíkova 55/65, Prague 8. Once your order is ready, we will send you an e-mail with information about the possibility of picking it up. If you do not collect the order within 3 working days , or if you do not inform us of another collection date, it will be automatically cancelled .

4. Express delivery by courier around Prague

Do you need an order as soon as possible? We also offer the goods on Wolt . Wolt delivers these orders within an hour.

5. Z-boxes, Alzaboxes, PPL boxes and others.
