Hibiscus rosa sinensis Variegata , from the genus Malvaceae , Czech Hibiscus . It is a variegated variety of the well-known indoor hibiscus, which is a very popular plant in our country. It comes from Southeast Asia and is most often grown in tropical areas.

The hibiscus has a beautiful composition of white-green leaves, it is easy to grow and even a less experienced grower can handle it, but thanks to its variegation, it is more difficult to maintain its beautiful colors. This species has its pitfalls due to its variegation, which can disappear with improper care. It requires a lot of nutrients, a constantly moist substrate and a lot of light. Beware of direct sunlight, which can burn the leaves.

Light

Hibiscus loves a lot of diffused light, wintering is also possible in the summer months. Because of its variegation, beware of direct sun, which can burn the leaves.

Watering

It is demanding on nutrients, fertilize weekly with full fertilizer. Do not let the substrate dry out unnecessarily, it prefers moist soil.

Humidity

The hibiscus likes warmth, but does not mind a light draft or changes in room temperature. Wintering in a cooler room with temperatures of 12 to 14 °C. The temperature should not drop below 10 °C

Propagation

The plant propagates well throughout the year by cuttings. Just cut off a stem about 10-20 cm long and let it take root in water. For the more daring, stick straight into the moist substrate.

Common problems

Hibiscus is susceptible to aphids, and there may also be mealybugs or other small parasites. Drying and yellowing of the leaves indicates insufficient watering or overfertilization.

We want them to be at your place as soon as possible and not spend time going around different warehouses and stores. We ship part of our own products marked with the Made in DMP label directly from our warehouse in Prague.
Therefore, it may happen that you will be charged a higher price for shipping, because you have things in the basket both from the grower and from our own production.

For some products, such as a book or a physical gift voucher, you can choose the pick-up option in our brick-and-mortar store.

Personal collection is not possible for most goods, because the store does not offer the same range of plants and accessories as in the e-shop. If you are not sure about the choice, stop by in person and together we will choose or order the right one!

Individual shipping prices:

1. DPD

The DPD courier will contact you the day before delivery regarding the exact delivery date. If you want to deliver the shipment to the delivery point , you can make arrangements with the carrier. The price for delivery of plants and selected accessories from NL to the Czech Republic is CZK 149 and to Slovakia EUR 8.
The price for delivery of our products from the warehouse in Prague is CZK 99 within the Czech Republic . Delivery from our warehouse to Slovakia is for the same price - EUR 8.

2. Post office

You can have the selected goods delivered to the delivery point of Zásilkovna in the Czech Republic for 89,- or to the delivery point of Zásilkovna in SK for € 5 . Simply select the delivery method: Zásilkovna * You select the Zásilkovna branch after completing the order.

After creating an order, you can use the map to select a pick-up point.
The shipping company is limited by the size or weight of the package.
If you cannot choose Zásilkovna, you most likely have bulky products in your basket and you need to choose another carrier.

3. Personal collection
