About the plant:
Fittonia belongs to flowering houseplants from the Acanthaceae family, also called "snake skin". It comes from South America, mainly from Peru, where it grows in rainforests. This is a very hygrophilous plant that requires rather shadier places, it fits perfectly in terrariums and glass spheres. The plant grows to a height of approx. 15-30 cm when mature.

Fittonia 'Joly Josan Red' is a beautiful houseplant that charms with its distinctive red veins on dark green leaves. This contrasting pattern gives the plant a dramatic look that immediately draws attention. Thanks to its compact growth, Fittonia is an ideal choice for smaller spaces, terrariums or as a desk decoration. This plant loves a moist environment and indirect light, so it will do well in rooms with higher humidity, such as the bathroom or kitchen. Fittonia 'Joly Josan Red' will bring liveliness and color to your home, and at the same time is relatively easy to care for.

Light

Fittonia requires diffused light, but not sharp and sun rays. It also does well in semi-shade.

Watering

The plant must never dry out or stand in water. It loves constantly moist soil and increased humidity.

Humidity

The plant enjoys an elevated humid environment. The ideal conditions for it are in terrariums and glass containers. More frequent misting is recommended.

Propagation

The plant can be propagated well by dividing the bunches.

Common problems

Drying of the leaves means drying of the plant, insufficient air humidity or overwatering. The plant suffers more often from thrips, scurvy and pustules.

We ship live plant orders Monday through Thursday. If we cannot prepare your shipment within these days, we will send it again the following week. We want to avoid plants being left in the depot for long periods of time, which is especially important during the winter months when cold conditions can harm them.

1. DPD

A DPD courier will contact you the day before delivery with the exact delivery date. If you would like to redirect the shipment to the collection point, you can make arrangements directly with the carrier. In the winter months, however, we strongly do not recommend redirecting to the delivery boxes, as low temperatures can damage the plants. In this case, we cannot be held responsible for the condition of the plants and complaints will not be accepted.

The price of delivery of plants and accessories throughout the Czech Republic is 149 CZK, to Slovakia 8 €.

2. Post office

You can have the selected goods delivered to the delivery point of Zásilkovna in the Czech Republic for CZK 89 or in Slovakia for €5. All you have to do is select the delivery option "Delivery" when ordering. After completing your order, you will be able to use the map to select a specific delivery location.

Keep in mind that the Post Office has restrictions on package dimensions and weight. If you don't see the Post Office option, you probably have bulky products in your cart and you need to choose another carrier. In the winter months, we strongly do not recommend choosing delivery to Z-Boxes due to the risk of the plants dying in the cold. In this case, we are not responsible for the condition of the plants and the claim will not be accepted.

3. Personal collection

You can pick up your order for free in person at the address Křižíkova 55/65, Prague 8. Once your order is ready, we will send you an e-mail with information about the possibility of picking it up. If you do not collect the order within 3 working days , or if you do not inform us of another collection date, it will be automatically cancelled .

4. Express delivery by courier around Prague

Do you need an order as soon as possible? We also offer the goods on Wolt . Wolt delivers these orders within an hour.

5. Z-boxes, Alzaboxes, PPL boxes and others.

In case of payment by cash on delivery, orders for collection boxes are automatically redirected to the nearest collection point.
